Name Plate on my door

Jason started work this week. He said it is much slower than Cali Union work, but I think that's good for him. He's going to blow them away if he ever busts out at Cali speed. :) They work 10 hr days so we haven't really seen a lot of each other the last 4 days. Jason did find a carpool buddy, so I get the car every other day. :)

My work is going well, I love my boss and the people I work with. Basically, I ride my bike to work, go to the office, check email, and start on anything I can basketball related. If I don't have anything to do I just work on school. In case some of you don't know. I am working on my Masters in Sports Management. Apparently the athletic director doesn't really want us labeled as "Graduate Assistants", he let us know this week in a meeting that he wants us to know that we ARE "Assistant Coaches working on our Masters." Ha ha, not much different in your eyes? To us it is....especially because not many people know what a GA is. He made it clear that we are not "gophers", that we are an important part of the program...that made me feel pretty good. :) Not only do we have our own offices, we got name plates today!!!!

Right now work for me is pretty chill. But when season starts it's going to be crazy! I have a lot of responsibilities. A LOT! But this is exactly what I LOVE to do, and where God has called me right now. It's quite an honor.

As much as I miss California, my family, my friends, and my job...I truly believe that this was a great move for Jason and I. We both did have jobs in Cali, but Jason hated his, and now he gets to work in his element and is even making more!!! It is amazing what can happen when you step out of the boat and walk on water. Giving your life to God, and trusting Him is the best thing you can ever do!!! It may be scary, but it's worth it.
